& Jay Loucks Memorial Scholarships
Applications are now closed.
Thank you to everyone who applied.
The Peterborough Minor Lacrosse Association proudly offers three Memorial Scholarships in memory of Jay Loucks, James Johnston, and Chris Fee. These scholarships recognize students (male or female) who have played for the Peterborough Minor Lacrosse Association at the House League or Rep level and are pursuing or planning to enter post-secondary education.
Note: Students can apply for more than one scholarship, but are not able to be selected for the same scholarship twice.
The Jay Loucks Memorial Scholarship award is presented annually in the amount of $500.00. This award was created with the help of Jay's former teammates, the Intermediate Lakers. The funds were raised by the team, via donations at the memorial games they have held for him. The PMLA would like to thank: all the players for raising this money; Jay's family for their many donations; Jay's friends for coming out to the memorial games and donating what they could to the cause; and anyone else who was touched by the story and donated money on Jay’s behalf.

This Memorial Award was created by the Peterborough Minor Lacrosse Association in memory of James Johnston, who was tragically taken from us in 1993. James Johnston was a tenacious lacrosse player who was very well respected by his teammate and opponents.
